I’m bumping this up to a four star read, and it’s probably because I’d consider it a glow up from the first book. It feels like there’s more detail in their relationship and we see more of it, with less little time skips between chapters which seemed to happen a lot in book one.

See books like these make me wish there was a 10 star rating system, this was better than a 3 star read but I wouldn’t say it was as amazing as my recent 4 stars reads so I’d say it’s like a high 3 star?
 
Similar to the last book, it was a cute yet steamy romance with zero relationship angst which is exactly what I like. It’s so refreshing to read a story that doesn’t have a big drama or miscommunication between the mcs just before the end that causes issues. 

I feel like there’ll be another book with Cohen and Seth just based on the minimal interaction they had at the end, about as much as Jacobs and Beck had in book 1, but it was enough of a hint. I’ll be looking forward to it.

This book was absolutely amazing and hot as hell. I've loved every Eden book I've read so far and every collab with Saxon. The characters are so well written. Eden and Saxon manage to perfectly portray coming to terms with queerness layered with spicy enemies to lovers.

Beck and Jacobs <3

I liked the first book in this series, but I felt it was missing…something. Book 2 though?? I enjoyed the hell out of. 

Beck and Jacobs start out as enemies vying for the captain’s spot on the CU hockey team. From there, it’s an eventual down spiral into these two falling head over heels for each other. 

I loved Jacobs, but BECK!!! He was so funny. I loved how he hid the pressure he was under to join his father’s company with snark and humor. He and Jacobs were made for each other. 

I liked that Beck’s dad eventually came around and treated both of his children with the respect they deserved. 

This book has one of my all time favorite tropes. The “I think you’re with someone else so I get drunk and bang on your door because I’m jealous” trope. Is that a trope? If not I’m making it one. 

I really love this series. If the first book fell slightly flat for you like it did me, keep going and please read this one. It’s so so good. Cohen’s reaction in the locker room to the kiss™️ cracked me up. Poor guy.

This was a really great romance that made me smile and laugh. This particular book in the series reminded me of Dean's book in the "Off-Campus Series".
