druhý díl a možná ještě lepší zápletka! hrozně moc se mi líbilo to propojení s pohádkou Červená Karkulka, protože bylo opravdu nenucené, přirozené. děj byl akční a ubíhal rychle, člověk musel pořád číst dál. romantická linka na jedničku.. strašně se mi v této sérii romantické linky líbí, jsou hezky napsané a uvěřitelné. vlk je moje nová oblíbená postava. zprvu bylo trochu nepřehledné to, jak se jednotlivé kapitoly vyprávěly buď z pohledu scarlet nebo cinder, byly tam dvě odlišné dějové linky, a já občas zapomínala, co se vlastně kde děje. žádné jiné připomínky ale nemám.

I’m halfway through this series and by far it is my favorite! There’s so much going on that there isn’t any dull moment. You will never get a moment of peace reading this simply because of the chaos surrounding the characters. In this retelling of the Little Red Riding Hood, we meet Wolf and Scarlet and their adventures as she travels to Paris from the small town of Rieux to find out what happened to her missing grandmother and how it is all connected to Cinder and Thorne, who are now escaped convicts deemed fugitives by the whole Earthen society. The found family banter has perfect comedic timing that I find myself loving them more and more.

This is definitely a 4.5. So freaking good, wow. 

This series is so refreshing--it's a scifi dystopian fantasy hybrid, with strong characters--especially Cinder and Scarlet, whose personalities are two of the most vibrant I have read in female protagonists in a long time. I get bothered when authors move to a whole new character's point of view in the sequel, but not only did the transition from Cinder to Scarlet seem natural to me, Marissa Meyer did a really good job switching the stories with not just two characters--Cinder and Scarlet--but three, including Kai's story. She did a good job balancing the three plots, keeping them distinct from each other, but also relatable to the other characters' plot line. 

I'm a huge sucker for cutesy things, and I really enjoyed Scarlet and Wolf's relationship. I think that a lot of people wanted it to become more developed, but I really loved the simplicity in all the moments they shared together. They have, after all, known each other for a very short period of time. I loved how she wasn't trusting of him and didn't fall into his arms as soon as she saw him, and I liked how he was amused and even encouraged her tactics to defend herself from him in the very beginning. I root for Cinder and Kai so much, but I think I really liked Scarlet and Wolf because they got more opportunities to get to know each other and interact, whereas, due to Cinder being a cyborg and Kai being the emperor, they had very few (but sweet) interactions with each other. I really wish there was some sort of Cinder and Kai in this book, but that would have been very difficult to put in, seeing as she was running away from prison. 

I wish the book was longer. I know that it is longer than Cinder, but there was a lot of plot that could have been elaborated. I really liked the end, but I wanted more. Some parts of the book could have been extended, just because there were three plot lines running at the same time. I wish I got more from Kai's plot line. I really like him, but I wish there was more coming from his end of the story. 

Besides that, I'm in love with this series. I don't want to have to wait until 2014 for the next book, which is going to be about Rapunzel, so I'm extremely excited about that. Marissa Meyer is a great YA author, and I'm really impressed by not only her writing, but her ability to create the world in which Cinder and Scarlet are portrayed. It's edgy and witty, and it really exceeds the mark of YA novels, where we have an abundance of lackluster plot lines and character development.

What a ride. I love how everything came together and how the tension was built up in this book. I love Scarlet and Wolf; I love Thorne and all the returning characters from Cinder. I love not remembering anything; I can't wait to see what happens next!

I really loved this one just as much as the first. It was so fun and incredibly fast paced as it jumped between the characters. Usually in multi-POV books I find myself enjoying some POVs more than others, but this wasn't the case in this one. I was genuinely so interested in every storyline and was so excited as they started to bleed together. I love the addition of Scarlet and Wolf, and again I find that I like them just as much as I loved Cinder and Kai. I also absolutely love Thorne, and I'm so excited for the next book!

thorne and cinder are a fun duo to read. and kai's longing for cinder had me on my knees. lol. 

might i just add... for the past few days of reading this i have been obsessed with kai (and cinder as well), that i have been listening to taylor swift's lover and don't blame me so so much...

Pretty good, not as good as the first but I have hope the next one will be better and i’m really excited to read it. I think what made me like this less is the characters arent as well written and I see why they would mention wolves and alphas since this is a Red Riding Hood retelling but it just seemed a little… unappealing to me. The pace was good tho and I will be finishing this series no matter what.

I almost NEVER buy books full price because as a university student it's just not in the budget. BUT AFTER THAT AWFUL CLIFFHANGER IN BOOK ONE I COULDN'T LEAVE THIS BOOK ON THE SHELF! I mean, I did get a good sale on the book BUT I STILL BOUGHT IT FROM A FANCY SMANCY BOOK STORE!

So, dear Marissa Meyer, you have crafted an excellent story that forced a university student to find the money in her budget to continue this series. ONLY FOR YOU TO LEAVE IT ON ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER AND I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WOULD DO THIS TO ME. Since this time, it's not in the budget to get the next book. So, poor little me is going to be waiting and waiting until I can find this book on sale somewhere.

This book is absolutely delightful, despite my epic rant. I think Marissa Meyer has crafted a wonderfully epic story that is packed full of wild, fairy tales! Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, the Wolf and a Han Solo-esque man have made me fall in love with this book more than I did for the first novel! It's a rare feat in my reading world, so someone give Marissa ALL of the awards! Okay?!

This book continues on with Cinder's story but we also have another character, Scarlett (Red Riding Hood) to follow along with two. Their stories intertwine near the end and make for one epic finale (not a finale for the whole series, just this book - calm down epic readers! We've got two more books to go!). 

I really enjoyed Scarlett and Wolf, especially the twist on the typical Big, Bad Wolf story. I thought they were quite cute and reminded me of a Leia meets Han Solo vibe (I love Star Wars too, I think Marissa and I would make great Star Wars buddies). Also throwing in our Captain Thorne who gives SERIOUS Han Solo vibes... Yep, this woman has crafted a story made for me! Why in the world did I wait so long to pick up this book?!

If I had one negative in this book, it was that Cinder and Prince Kai don't get to interact. I was really hoping for a reunion but I don't think we'll be seeing one until the next book. I really liked their interactions in the first novel and their relationship, but such is life... Cliffhangers galore.

I didn't exactly see this ending coming, but I did have a good guess. I still really enjoyed it despite there being a few predictable parts of this book. I honestly haven't loved YA this much in a while. I got tired of the tropes and predictable lines, but Marissa has sparked my love for YA and fairy tales all over again. We need authors like her who make these amazing stories that any age can love. Just because it's in the YA aisle doesn't mean it's only for Young Adults (I mean... I'm a Young Adult still, but I tend to move towards the adult aisles more). 

This book is all around great! Pre-teens, teenagers and adults alike will love this book! There are some rougher scenes so I'd put this in the PG folder, but I think this would make a great book for parent and child bonding time. Because, why not?

Overall, I loved this book! I seriously needed to continue this series and I'm a little frustrated and flustered that I'm going to have to wait until I find Cress and Winter.

Five out of five stars! Heck, give it six or seven! I love this book! I hate when authors make me love books this much, I'm an impatient person and I don't want to wait!
