2 stars might even be generous. This book was boring and October might be the worst detective ever, I wouldn't want her trying to solve my murder. I didn't even like her personality in this one, all attitude no substance. I might read the next one because I've heard the series gets better but we'll see.

This is the second book in the October Daye series and I love this series more and more ever time I read it.. In this book Toby and Quinton are sent by Sylvester to go and check on his neice because he hasn't heard from her in a while. 
Things are weird from the moment Tobg and Quinton arrive, and they soon find out why.. People are dying, and no one has any idea who is killing them or why. Toby ends up having to contact some really old and super dangerous beings to help her figure out what's going on..
This is a great addition, and I can't wait to continue rereading this series!!

Sylvester has asked October to go to Tamed Lightning to check on his niece. He hasn't heard from her in awhile, and there are others that want her land. Fearing the worst, he sends October and Quentin to check things out. She can tell something isn't right as soon as they get there. I love these characters, especially Toby, Quentin, and even Tybalt is growing on me. This would've been 5 stars, but all the computer stuff made it too strange for me. Other than that, it was great.

It's more like 2.5 stars. I like the writing and the characters, but this felt a bit dumb. I had basically figured much of it out quite early (which is a theme with these first two books), but have been told to stick with it as the later books are where it is at.
