I'm a huge fan of Guns n' Roses, so I was very curious to hear what Slash had to say.

There's some OK GNR stuff about the origins of the band, but mostly it's a drug/drinking memoir. There's not a lot of information about how songs came together, other than they came together quickly and almost magically.

Slash is still oddly protective of Axl Rose, so there's really not a ton of gossip. Or maybe he really didn't know the guy.

It's still a pretty entertaining read, though. I know a ton about heroin now, which I guess could one day come in handy. Although I hope it doesn't.

Like any other memoir, Slash's tells the story of his life from childhood till 2007 when this book was published. This man has lived a wild life, what else would you expect from the guitarist of Guns N' Roses (my favorite band)? 
This book was very descriptive and could paint a picture in my head. I enjoyed that there were pictures throughout the chapters instead of just having them in the middle. My one complaint is the set up, some chapters were 50+ pages long, and it seemed to be very tedious. Four out of five stars for me!
