Another business parable/fable book in an easy to digest format. The book doesnt convey anything earth-shattering, takes a simple enough story and tries to get across a simple concept - What would it take a dull, inefficient team in a fictional company back up running.

The story involves our main character Mary Jane Ramirez, who has gone through a fair share of troubles with her personal life, with her husband dying all of a sudden from a disease, given responsibility of "third floor" of the company. Third floor is notorious for "zombie" workers with boring job descriptions and low morale. Having forced to take upon this new role, due to personal reason mentioned before, the book tells the story of how she pulls herself back into the game taking her team along in the process.

Mary happens to visit a Fish Market that proves central to the story, and the reason why the book is called "Fish". The enthusiasm and energy that fish mongers display at the market stuns Mary. Even though their job appears very boring and monotonous, the fish mongers were somehow able to do it with such passion.
