The Author joined the RAF in 1953 at age 19 as a Regular at the height of National Service an so found himself in a minority, a volunteer among the pressed men. The training methods in the early 1950s were still mostly those from WWll. As was the accommodation, equipment, methods and attitude of those in charge. Those who may have served at that time will be familiar with much of this story and the absurdities they were often subjected to.Revised and additionally illustrated March 2021
