I had to read this book for a class I'm taking in Persuasion. I appreciated the information in all of the sidebars much more than the main text of the book. The author's personal connections and uses of the techniques caused many eye-rolls. However, the definitions were easy to understand, though honestly, I wouldn't use the majority of the vocabulary for any reason. I found the sidebars marked "Persuasion Alerts" and "Try This In A..." to be most helpful and relatable to my needs. The appendices are great, as well. Basically, if you'd like some quick tips on how to be more persuasive or how to win more arguments, pick up this book from the library and give it a skim.
