The Faceless Woman
The Swan Princess meets Irish Mythology in this sweeping retelling. Once upon a time...A town will only suffer the presence of a witch for as long as she is useful. Aisling watches the flames lick her thighs and prays for a quick death. But when an Unseelie prince appears through the smoke, she does what any self respecting witch would do.

I enjoyed the first book in Bran and Aisling's story. However, there is something about Emma Hamm's writing that I just don't like and a lot of inconsistencies. Which is why this is only a 3 star. The more I read her books, the more I notice it, and the lower my rating. So although I might have rated veins of magic higher I actually think they should be rated similarly. I really am enjoying the story though, and I am interested in seeing how the next book will handle the curses.
