A gut wrenchingly beautiful book. The storyline, the dialogues, the characters all were simple and straight forward. A 11/10 read.

Pretty emotional book honestly. The book revolves around the lives of cancer patients Hazel and Augustus and it gives you a lesser known yet more important perspective upon living with a deadly/incurable disease. The second half is what blew me away because the book took a deeper turn and expressed everything in a more profound way compared to the first half which was much more subtle. I can see the hype behind this book and it does provide alot of insight which I would keep in mind for sure.

Story is different and touching, teaching you how dying young would feel [without being too patheteic] (everyone should read it!) but this is not a book I would read twice... (especially after author tried to use math reference so badly I almost cried [and then I tried to google it a bit to find an explanation and saw what fans said about it... {my math soul died}])

This book was stunning, heartbreaking, and captivating. A book I will always think about and is probably the best book I've ever read, I doubt I will be able to read this book again. 

I found myself sucked into the story faster than any other book I had read, The fault in our stars is one of the only books I have found myself binging the whole thing. I haven't read anything else by John Green so this was my introduction to him as well as his writing. 

I would whole heartedly reccomend this book with no doubt in my mind but I cannot bring myself to read it again.

Okaaay, there was a moment that I felt really connected to Augustus Waters and Hazel Grace, but I lost that somewhere in the middle of these pages. The problem of predictability hung in the air for the whole book and all I wanted to know at times was how will this end... The emotional thing quite couldn't connect for me, but yeah, the book wasn't that bad. It has its ups and downs.

Despite going in knowing this book is about kids with cancer (read: cliche!), the story touched parts of my soul I didn't even know I had. I actually cried (I never cry over books...ever) and will forever be surprised at how deeply this book affected me.

Pese a saber casi todo lo que iba a pasar, porque incluso había visto la película antes de leerlo me ha parecido bien, me gusta la trama y pues me ha transmitido ciertas cosas, obviamente me transmitieron más las cosas que no sabía.
Es una historia rápida, lo que me gusta y no me gusta es que está llena de metáforas por parte de varios personajes, me gusta pues transmiten bastante, pero no me gustó porque me costó entender muchas de ellas. 
El final ya lo sabía, me gustó, me llamó la atención y ya está, lo malo como dije anteriormente es que Gus dice cosas en la carta que me cuestan entender, aunque admito que estoy  combatiendo mi problema leve de dislexia. Por lo demás me gustó la historia que ya conocía. 
Lo volvería a leer solo para entender las pequeñas cosas que no entendía (metáforas y algunas frases).

According to author John Green, The Fault In Our Stars was inspired by his friendship with Esther Earl, who "redefined the process of dying young for me." (December 2012 Good Reads interview, http://www.goodreads.com/interviews/show/828.John_Green). He cautions his readers not to take the novel too literally however, stating that he doesn't "want people conflating Esther with Hazel (they're very different), and it's extremely important to me that I not claim to be telling Esther's story. Esther's story belongs to Esther and to her family." (John Green's tumblr, August 2, 2012 http://fishingboatproceeds.tumblr.com/post/28557373623/everybody-was-told-to-make-a-funny-face-but-i). Esther's story is told in the 2014 posthumous memoir This Star Won't Go Out : the Life and Words of Esther Grace Earl.

Loved it and hatef it. For a moment I really thought that John Green and Peter Van Houten were vwry much alike.
