The Monkey Wrench Gang
Reviews

Overall, I enjoyed reading this book. But, there were some times that I really had to force myself to read it. I definitely had trouble getting into it at first. It was recommended by a friend, and not something I think I would typically have picked off a shelf. Once I started getting more into the characters, particularly Hayduke, I was a lot more excited to read it. It made me curious about geodesic dome homes and the Glen Canyon Dam, and definitely encouraged some wikipedia time. I feel like I actually learned some interesting stuff from this book, unlike a lot of fiction. It was also cool to read about the state I live in (Utah) and got me longing for a desert trip. Overall an enjoyable read.

A classic, of course. More relevant than ever in today's topsy turvy political world.
