✩ 3,5*/5*, chyběla mi tam nějaká větší akce a drama, přišlo mi to nudný.

Just as good as the first book if not even better. Once again I was sucked right into the story. This book starts off the next morning after the first one, which I love. I feel like i'm not missing anything. Through the whole book you know exactly what Thomas knows so it leaves you guessing. Just when I feel like I've figured it out there is another twist. Wonderful series and I can't not wait to read the 3rd.

Well, I am proud to say I did not once buy that shit with Teresa hating him. It just wasn't believable. It didn't work, and I did not buy, no matter how hard DAshner tried to sell it. I LOVE Brenda. She is the coolest. Other than that, I have only one last comment: MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!!!!

It's a rehash of the first book without the mystery. I want to see more of the world beyond this testing facility. As the book is on hold at the library and there are six people after me, I've decided not to force myself to finish when there are others eager to read it.

Not half as good as the first book of the series.

Mindblowingly amazing, full of so many twists an turns which are all unexpected.

If I said I really enjoyed the first book, saying I loved this one would be an understatement. Dashner certainly outdid himself here -in comparison with the first book- and really pulled out such fast paced action and drama that it is impossible to let the book go until its very end. It keeps you at the edge of your seat the whole time.

Basically, everything is going downhill for Thomas and the rest of the Gladers and it's just too much to take.

i’m re-reading this series and just want to personally thank wes ball for the changes he made regarding the plot and for making the characters fucking amazing BC WTF JAMES DASHNER WHAT THE FUCK

3.5 ⭐️

This book was VERY GOOD. It had unexpected plot twist, extreme detail, and an ending that makes me want to start reading the next book instantly. I only put 4 stars because it was slow at times and 5 stars is only for EXTRA special books(but if there was a 4.5, this would get it)

Transported to a remote fortified outpost, Thomas and his fellow teenage Gladers find themselves in trouble after uncovering a diabolical plot from the mysterious and powerful organization WICKED. With help from a new ally, the Gladers stage a daring escape into the Scorch, a desolate landscape filled with dangerous obstacles and crawling with the virus-infected Cranks. The Gladers’ only hope is to find a group of resistance fighters who can help them battle WICKED. This book had some cool horror moments, and it expanded on the lore and world-building set-up in the first book. This book is almost entirely travelling across the Scorch, which is a trope I usually don’t care for, but I think that it is done well here and the writer does a good job at keeping the reader engaged. Not much to say about this book other than it is an enjoyable dystopian book for teenagers.

This book was absolutely amazing.

Meh

two books in and they STILL haven't answered any questions. every reveal ("reveal") is just more unknowns so nothing feels satisfying.
the only part of the book that actually gave any piece of information was the epilogue.
even the characters don't want to discuss the unanswered questions. they're having such an awful time that any time someone gets a clue everyone else tells them to shut up and start running or something.
i can understand a mystery but ZERO answers? after TWO books? come on now

I was really disappointed in this book after reading The Maze Runner. I loved the first novel, and I had high expectations for the second, but sadly it did not live up to what I had hoped. I had wanted another action filled mystery/thrilled type novel that made me hold onto the edge of my seat and not want to stop reading, but sadly I was bored out of my mind and saw every turn coming. While The Maze Runner was predictable, it was still action packed and a fun read. This book was even more predictable, and pathetically boring. I didn't even know why I was reading it or what the point of the book was because I was so bored out of my mind. The plot was predictable, but it was a well thought out plot. There weren't any major errors in the book that I could find. Overall, I was really disappointed in this novel. I will still finish the series, but I now have low expectations and I don't want to finish the series. One out of five stars.

I personally think there's only so many times you can use the same tactic and have it work nicely. I don't know what the purpose is, but my sole motivation for reading the next book after this would be finding out the truth behind the trials and, to be fairly honest, maybe not even that would be enough.

better than the first, It starts kinda slow but I'm a slow reader so it might be me, but still overall great. Amazing writing, and im going to read the next book

slow start just like the first one but once you get into it omg

AHH, let me start off with the writer, James Dashner, is amazing. Very good passe and surprising twists. I fell in love with all the characters all over again. And got extremely upset with Teresa, but understood where she was coming from, i wish near the end Thomas excepted what she did. I disliked Brenda a lot, because i loved the little fling with Thomas and Teresa.

22/04/21 The Scorch Trials the maze runner #2 4/5

Five stars but not quite so.. *4.8* This book was a lot better. I don't know why but i have been considering the series a light read even though it's a dystopian book. Still, some conversations were unnatural but much less than in The Maze Runner. I loved the twist and turns and how James Dashner was not afraid to put in some pretty gory details. With the gory details comes Thomas and everyone else cracking jokes all the time, which I think is amazing considering the terrible situation they are always in. In conclusion I will be jumping into The Death Cure very soon.

Decent read for the target audience.

What does mine say? Newt asked. You’re subject 5A and they call you the Glue. Newt gave him a startled look. The Glue? Yeah. Probably because you’re kind of the glue that holds us all together.

It just came out, a new number one on the list of the dumbest things he'd ever said.

But when she started walking, he followed.

That was what he kept telling himself. That was what kept him running.
She was alive.
