I didn't read the first of these books, so not sure what I expected. I enjoyed the beginning and end, but was a little bored in between. I've always been skeptical of macroeconomics because it tries to model such complex systems. Hartford did a nice job of explaining that macro is focused on studying economic forces that are not easy to see. That makes sense to me, and also explains why it's such a challenging field.
