Immortal Dark Trilogy: Immortal Dark

It really hurts me that this isn’t a new favorite book. I’m a tad bit disappointed. I really like the idea of this book but the execution just was not it. 

The FMC was annoying and constantly made stupid decisions. I don’t think her personality/motivations/background were fleshed out enough which made it hard to understand where she was coming from. I thought that the world building was messy. Immortal Dark was at its strongest when it focused on the romance which again I wish there were more scenes displaying the tension/attraction between the two characters. I almost feel like it would have been better to have dual perspectives in this book. Most if the supporting characters (apart from Iniko and Taj) felt very flat to me. 

I think that I will continue with this series. There is potential and this is a debut novel so it can only get better from here.
