We didn’t, but I could pretend. Because there was a man like sunshine sitting across from me, acting like there was no place he’d rather be than here with me.

I took his hand carefully. He was breakable. He was soft. I didn’t remember him, but I wished I did, because I thought maybe he could be everything. He was a summer filled with green, like so much relief.

“I feel weak and tired all the fucking time. But it brought you back to me. And I would do it again and again and again. You said you would do anything for someone you cared about. Me too. My wolf was taken from me. I can barely breathe at the loss of it.  turned into the Alpha for like six seconds. Then Joe ripped the bad guy’s head off because of love and stuff, and since said bad guy was, like, leader of the Omegas, the Alpha power went 

 to Ox, and when he was turned into a wolf, there was a door that we closed, but then we shattered it because Mark and I got bit by a carrier of a magical Omega virus—Pappas, poor guy, got shot by someone who took the Bible a little too literally—and Ox became the Alpha of the Omegas, and now here we are.” He shrugged. “Might have left out a few details here and there, but that’s the nuts and bolts of it.” He grinned at me. “You get all that?”

And without thinking, I collapsed on top of Kelly, covering his body with mine.

i struggled a bit with this one! i skipped ravensong, so first i was like "wtf is going on" throughout the first half lol, but now that i've gotten to the end of the series, i wonder if i would have still been confused af if i read ravensong and followed up w this haha bc it rly just dumps you into the story and you have to piece together what point in time we're at. THAT'S NOT MY MAIN COMPLAINT, THOUGH. 

because robbie loses his memory, this means that we are being told a lot of story through memories and flashbacks. a huge majority of robbie and kelly's relationship is told through flashback, and i think it would just be so much more emotional if we'd seen more of their love develop beforehand so we can really feel for all that robbie and kelly have lost. similarly, events that happened leading up to robbie being taken are also only told through memory, which made it slightly hard for me to connect with the struggle happening between robbie and rico bc we just like. don't know what happened. WHICH IS THE POINT. but i didn't like it told that way lol. i also thought that robbie went on too long in denial about ezra, and klune does try to acknowledge that with robbie's internal monologue, but it's still like. i think it's obvious you can trust this pack now lol. like robbie just kept flipping back and forth between, "YOU ALL ABANDONED ME" and someone explaining why and then robbie being like ok and then the next second back to "BUT YOU ALL ABANDONED ME." felt v circular. 

also felt like the battle at the climax was a liiiittle anticlimactic, primarily bc it's like, oh! robert livingstone is defeated by the ~ power of pack ~ lol felt rly cheesy and also felt like, ok he felt so unbeatable before, but now he suddenly is bc robbie can finally free himself from his hold bc he can now believe he's a part of this pack......... idk. and of COURSE rico sacrifices himself for robbie. but then OF COURSE he doesn't actually die. THROWING MY HANDS IN THE AIR AND PUNCHING THINGS W HOW CLICHE AND CHEESY THAT WAS.

wish that kelly's asexuality had been explored more! i almost feel like this story would have been so much more meaningful if told from kelly's POV, but then we wouldn't have gotten the slow reveals we got bc robbie didn't remember jack shit lol (girl who could have done without the slow reveals). this is probably my least favorite of the series so far, which is unfortunate bc i love kelly!! but i felt like his personality was rly flattened here. ANYWAY. also kurt graves you are amazing but you were probably the worst at maintaining robbie's accent out of all the characters HAHAHA.

what in the Captain America winter soldier

this book surprised me I actually really enjoyed it and it was much better than the previous books. I like Robbie a lot and I thought the plot was much better constructed

To be honest, the third book was the one I was least looking forward to read because while I liked Robbie, he wasn't my favorite character. I know I'm probably in the minority as everyone seems to be giving this book five stars, but I didn't feel connected to his character. Maybe if the book was from Kelly's point of view, I would have liked it better. Especially, since he was asexual and I wanted to see his pov. For now, the POVs in this series aren't from the ‘biological' Bennets, so I knew Kelly wouldn't be telling the story here, but I just wanted it to be him. I hope the last book will be in Carte’s pov. 

The story. I was extremely confused at the beginning and I didn’t know what was happening. My confusion stopped after the story gave us a few clues as to what was going on, but the plot twist still surprised me. I didn't expect the story to go this way. I thought we were going back to the plot from the last book, rather than going forward in time a year, because Robert Livingstone took Robbie and his memories. TJ Klune really took my by surprise here. Unfortunately, I hate the amnesia trope, so this wasn't a pleasant surprise. I hate amnesia trope. With passion. I usually avoid reading book with it, but it’s a series so kinda have to if I wanted to read the last book. And I wanted to read Carter and Gavin’s book a lot. It’s not that this book was bad, I liked it, but it won’t be my favorite in the series. The plot was focused on Robbie getting his memories back, so there wasn’t a lot of action. I mean, at the beginning and end was, so at least that. Still, I read it in basically one day. That probably means that the story sucked me in enough, to not stop reading it.

The romance. Comparing the third book to the second one, there was definitely more of that. I won't lie here, I read this series mainly for the romance. Even though I really liked the plot. Robbie and Kelly were so sweet and wholesome. They have perhaps the most tender relationship of all couples.

I was shaking. I couldn’t stop. “Why?”

Throughout the book, everyone, especially Kelly, tells Robbie about his lost memories. I kinda wished the book was written differently, because I wanted to witnessed them getting together"normally". Not by Kelly recalling their memories. They eventually get back together again, obviously, but I just thought the book will be handled in a different way. 

The last thing. One of my favorite moments was when Kelly and the pack came back for Robbie, and Kelly was wearing Robbie’s work shirt. I wanted to cry then. 

The pack/ characters. I said it in my last review and I'll say it again. This series has one of the best 'found family' tropes I've ever read about. Seriously. I just love their family. They make me laugh. They make me smile. Sadly, cry too, but mostly they are mostly happy tears. I'm not going to write about all of them separately, because I love them all. I keep forgetting that everyone is in their 40s, 30s, even 50s. This series just feels like you're reading about teenagers or people in their twenties. It’s not a problem for me as I prefer books with older, more mature characters. Anyway, I can’t wait to read the last book and more about my queer pack.

I'm pretty sad that I only have one book and this series will end, but re-reading does exist, so that's comforting to me. The next book is about Carter and Gavin, and I already know I will love them.

Otra vez. Otra vez T.J Klaune haciendo ARTE. Amo esta saga, no tengo manera de explicar lo mucho que amo leer a cada uno de ellos. Creo que jamás me había encariñado tanto con personajes como lo hice en esta saga, no quiero terminarla aunque me falta un libro. Siento azul por terminarlo.
Este libro tiene todo; gays, drama, ficción, amor, familia, amigos, comedia, magia. La forma en la que está escrito, para mí es simplemente arte. Te hace conectar con sus palabras y te trasmite lo mismo que sienten los personajes. 
Es que no tengo otra forma de decirlo ARTE. Otra vez, gracias T.J Klaune por compartir esta preciosa saga. 😭💖

There’s a lot that’s done well in this book 1. it has a very strong, intriguing start, however you do need to read the first two books for this one to hit as good 2. there were so many heartfelt, emotional moments between the characters. I honestly got choked up several times 3. the relationship between the MCs is wonderful and there’s not a horrid age gap this time and 4. the ending has me hooked and interested to see how this saga ends.

Now, however, onto why this only gets 3 stars. 1. Too many side characters that are insufferable and/or written so similarly that I can’t keep them straight. I was actually relieved when I thought one of them was going to die because there would be less of them to keep track of. Imagine my disappointment when Ox brought him back to life. 2. the jokes about the age gaps of the alphas made me cringe. That’s gonna be the downfall of this series for me. 3. The writing style comes off as repetitive and cringey in some places. And just about every character that narrates these books speaks similarly, so I know that’s just the author’s voice overpowering the characters’ voices. Very little differentiation in the narrating characters. 

Since my complaints have been the same in every book, I’m sure they’ll be the same in the last/final book. But, onwards and upwards. Onto the last.

           A+ BOOK I LOVED IT.

I was not prepared for the amount of times I would cry when I read this. The plot twist at the start absolutely threw me. Maybe a smarter person would’ve noticed the signs beforehand but I legit thought we were getting Robbie’s history until handless Gordo appeared and I was screaming and reevaluating everything I’d read and wanted to smack myself for not seeing the signs (I honestly thought Robbie was psychic or something). I would’ve loved to see how Robbie and Kelly’s relationship developed from the where Ravensong left off but I think the way this was written was perfect.

This story was definitely more somber than the previous two, less comedic moments and more angst but I wasn’t disappointed with it. My heart breaks for all these characters I just want them to he happy forever but all life throws at them is torment and torture. 

I was sorta aware of what would happen to Gavin going into this cause I spoiled it for myself by reading the summary for the next book. But I either forgot or stopped reading when it came to the part about Carter leaving and I’m glad I did cause that part hit me like a truck and I cried. 

WHY IS THIS SERIES FULL OF PEOPLE LEAVING PEOPLE BEHIND. WHY MUST THERE BE SO MUCH ANGUISH. 

Anywho I cannot wait for Carter’s book to come out and break my heart also, I’m so glad it’s out in two weeks so I don’t need to suffer waiting for too long.

- i don’t know why i keep reading these books. i hate them so much and i absolutely love them. i hate them, but am i gonna read the next one in the series tomorrow? yes, duh.
- i would like to say: FUCK ROBERT LIVINGSTONE. ugly ass motherfucker.

- i was very pleasantly surprised that it had ace rep, which????? literally yes please
- i just love Kelly and how he’s so unapologetically asexual while having a good and dedicating relationship with Robbie, and how Robbie never pushes and always make sure he’s comfortable. (ik this is like, the bare minimum, really, but it’s not really that common, when it comes to ace people, that it works well) 
- i just loved the ace rep🤞🤞 we need more of it, please
- also, Kelly Bennett is literally the strongest mf ever and he deserves more love. i just wanted to say that
- Kelly and Robbie make me emo😐
- aside from that: again, i cannot stand the werewolf, alpha stuff. i cringe every. time.😁

- and it feels like he just took every hispanic stereotype and applied them to Rico…so

Hasta ahora es mi libro favorito de la saga y como me hizo sufrir, no entendí nada al principio pero cuando me di cuenta de lo que pasaba me eché a llorar y prácticamente no paré hasta que lo terminé. Como está narrado todo desde la perspectiva de Robbie es tremendo y su relación con Kelly es la más pura y bonita de todas 😭 son tan lindos y el amor que sienten el uno por el otro me dejó totalmente encantada, de lejos mi pareja favorita 

Para mí es sin duda un 5/5, como era de esperar T.J. Klune no decepciona

I still really enjoyed T.J Klune's writing and this series. 
I'm so attached to all of the characters, this pack. I think I shed tears in every book so far.
I was really interested in Robbie's storyline and it didn't disappoint even though I wanted to see more scenes of Robbie trying to court Kelly, that would have been so funny!
I'm already invested in Carter and Gavin's storyline hence I'm anticipating the final book!!!

This book killed me. I cried so much that I even got a horrible headache. I started listening to the audiobook last night, and I kept listening through dawn, I didn't want to stop at all, because although I was suffering a lot I wanted to know more.
Robbie is my baby, and it was very sad all that happened to him. He and Kelly are wonderful together, and all i wanted was for them to be happy. 
This has certainly been my favorite in the series so far, but I'm really looking forward to the next one, I feel like I'll end up devastated!
