this was my first time reading this author and it definitely won't be my last. for what this book set out to do, it was perfect. it was addictive, fast-paced and filled with intrigue. i read this in one sitting and i really enjoyed myself, gave me hella queen of the south vibes too. i don't care if this isn't the most unique and original mafia romance out there, this book took me out of a reading slump, so i'd say it was pretty engaging. the pros? the writing style made it easy to fly through this book, the dynamic between the characters (especially cristiano and natalia's), the accurate spanish phrases (finally an author who writes sentences in another language without looking like they used google translate) and the arranged marriage trope. the only thing i would criticize is the lack of smut, too little for my taste, but it's fine, there's two more books in this series for that.
ps: team cristiano all the way, you can smell the rat ass stench from the other brother from a mile away!
