Ada, or, Ardor, a family chronicle

Ada or Ardor is a complex and long book involving an alternate world where the Victorian world is mapped onto pangea, steam punk, a complicated family tree, word play and goodness knows what else. I think under different circumstances, I would enjoy the book but right now its just more than I can or want to handle. I'm not connecting with the characters nor particularly interested in the progression of the plot.

Not to be dramatic but this is the best book I’ve ever read and I will read it 100 more times. I have not been this obsessed w a book since I was like 10. Life changing and beautiful and hellish and incoherent and dreamlike but lucid and hyperreal. What the fuck, Love u Vladimir
