I devoured this book and while I still think the first book is the best in the series this had a very satisfactory end....and I may have cried just a tiny little bit.

What can I say about the final book in Malediction Trilogy? Honestly, it has never taken me this 
long to finish a book EVER. I finished the second book (which ended on quite a cliffhanger) and eagerly delve into this one. Almost immediately I started to loose interest, It dragged on and on and on. Repeatedly I would pick it up and put it back down, not even sure why but I stopped caring. Near the end, it starts to pick back up and I gained a renewed interest. Stupidly I managed to convince myself that it's one of those books where the ending makes it all worth it, everything just needs to come full circle... yeah... nope that was not this book! The ending left me nothing but depressed. No other words could describe how bleak that ending was for me...even the last page could not salvage my feelings at that point. 

So, while I have really enjoyed this series overall. Unfortunately, I can't say that this book didn't alter my opinion. The first book was amazing I love the characters, the uniqueness of the story, and the beautiful connection Cecile and Tristan have. The second book while not being at the same level as the first was still very engaging and enjoyable read. This book however sadly ended up being quite a disappointment. It was sad to see such an amazing series go on such a downward spiral.
