** spoiler alert ** this was just not good😭 it read like a badly written fanfic and the romance fell so flat. there was nothing interesting about their relationship other than them being gay, like they barely had actual conversations with each other before jumping into saying i love you??? i just didn’t buy their relationship. there was also such a lack of nuance throughout the whole book and it felt wildly unrealistic

A very pleasant and well-written read. It's cute without being overly sweet and optimistic without feeling naïve or cringy.

the whole book is sweet ahh <3. we see our protagonist, Hana, a bisexual Korean-American actress starring in kdrama "fated destiny", along with Bryan who plays the love interest in the show. when the show had low ratings, their director asked them to fake date to improve them. then comes, hana's best friend, minjee, who was competing for roles too. but they hardly communicated when hana got casted instead of her. But Minjee was so supportive and is still a good friend to hana. soon, she gets the role of the second lead. from there, hana developed a crush on minjee. it's really great to see LGBT rep set in Korea!! I had fun reading this along with the trio's experience with queerness, and how they perfectly handled it. (view spoiler)[I was so happy when Hana got accepted by her parents, who suspected her when she couldn't stop talking about Minjee adsjgdsk. I felt bad for Minjee when she told Hana about coming out to her parents over the phone and I'm glad they accepted her eventually (hide spoiler)]. Other than that, I wish they shown the stories of fated destiny tho :(( I would love to see it but still, it was enjoyable and fast-paced!! would've given this 3 stars if I read this mainly for the romance tho, but I'm giving it 4 stars because the whole thing is about the reality of the movie industries and it brings up how some people can't come out in certain countries
