Our safe phrase tumbles out of my mouth far too easily. As though I’ve been waiting for the perfect excuse to use it. 

“You can’t help yourself, can you?”

As though he’s unsure how to use his long-dormant face muscles, he slowly curves his lips into his best approximation of a smile. 

“So Solange will be faking not one but two relationships in the span of a few weeks.” 

I hit them with a smoldering gaze and throw my shoulder forward. “What can I say? I’m a popular woman.”

“Oh, I’ve been meaning to ask: Is it normal for a dildo to make you walk side to side the next morning?”

oh i love Solange. i loved her already because of her name but wow, what a woman 

“What’s this?” I ask as I peek inside and leaf through the contents. 

“Think of it as a primer on me. For fun, I’m calling it the 

“I already have double D’s. I don’t need yours too.” 

But I see several sets of wide eyes, and so many people are clearing their throats as I pass them, you’d think everyone in the whole damn firm is dehydrated.

** spoiler alert **
           I started questioning the narrative cohesiveness of the novel during the sex party scene. Although Solange claims to have been to one before, while Dean has not, she doesn't recognize it for what it is until her understanding what it is serves to force a reaction out of Dean. The scene comes at nearly the halfway point and by then we should know what sort of intimacy the characters expect, want, and have experience with.

From the sex party onward, it's clear that the novel isn't going to be much more than just a string of situations. Instead of being a rom-com, it's more of a sit-com with some promised romance.

In spite of the fact that this book had all my favourite tropes (fake dating, the one bed trope, forced proximity), I couldn't say I absolutely adored it. Having said that, it is a perfectly fine book and in no way horrible.

Though Dean and Solange had some chemistry and had plenty of cute moments, I wasn't enamored with their relationship or with them as individuals. Liked them, but wasn't overly giddy about their relationship, perhaps because the second half of the book dragged a bit. Finally, I was a bit surprised by the smut; it wasn't terrible at all.

The book was fine, but I'll probably forget about it in a few months. Although this book is cute, as are Dean and Solange as a couple, it is not my favourite romance this year.

ok I would give this 4.5. I listened to it on audio book. I can’t tell you the amount of times I giggled or smiled to myself while listening to this book. Definitely needed this book right now.

tried reading this book a while back and could never get back into it. However, I am so happy I was able to finish it today. I wasn’t sold at first, but as I got further in and realized where the plot was going, it was a great read! Would recommend

I found this to be an enjoyable read with some good banter and laugh out loud moments. I enjoyed the family aspect and Brazilian rep of Solange’s family. her mom and aunties have built up a strong support crew and it was so cute to see them pull together to help each other out!

I really liked this book. I love how sarcastic Solange is and love how she always wants to help everyone. Dean is nice and he is organized etcetera. In my opinion; I didn't like the party they went to, I felt that wasn't necessary. And I loved how Dean was there with Natalia having her baby and that he did the machine to take som of the pain away, that was funny. And when he stood up for het mother and her... that was awesome. The tias I think is the best of both books, I mean I love how they handle this and how close the family is. And in the end what they did for Dean and Solange, was just funny and adorable. But I have to be honest and say that I mostly read book bc I wanted more of Max and Lina, and I have to say that in the Epilogue I was super glad to hear what M planned for L at the tulip field, I love that. I was kinda disappointed because I thought the writter were going to let Brandon and Jaslene end up together. I think that was a missed opportunity. But the rest of the was excellent.

This book is so adorable. I love a good book where someone thinks that they aren't capable of love and Dean was just the man to give that to me. Solange and Dean were adorable and I just loved that they figured out the stuff with their life separately so that it showed you how much they really loved each other.

I will say though the sex party really took me by surprise and it was a bit weird that they didn't really talk about it again but also I feel like that's realistic so.

i really liked this book, i literally read it one day. i am a real sucker for fake dating tropes. like SERIOUSLY. fake dating is my end. i will read anything with that trope. and this book did it so well. 

the wedding crashing, the fake dating. i love how different each of the dates were and how interesting they were. we really got to know each of the characters through the dates. 

such a cute book and i can’t wait to read more by this author!!

That’s what makes a romance novel stand out and Mia Sosa… *slow claps* you have outdone yourself with this one babe! It had that and so much more.
 
“The Wedding Crasher” triumphs over “The Worst Best Man” in every single way—Fake dating? Check. Friends to lovers? Check. One bed trope? Check. Steamy scenes that will get you all hot and bothered? Double check.
 
The chemistry between Solange and Dean was intense and the energy that they brought into this book was unfathomable. The flirty banter, side characters that helped bring the story together (side eyeing my man Brandon), maturity amongst them (leads) and the rest of the cast was refreshing to say the least. The main characters were strong and independent, and knew what they wanted.
 
We can't forget to mention the comedy too. The amount of times I laughed out loud was ridiculous. From Solange and Dean's witty comebacks and the crazy dynamics that come along with families (and friends that are pretty much like family)—if you're looking for something to lift up your spirits, look no further! "The Wedding Crasher" is one of the best romantic comedies of 2022!

I think I found a new favorite author because Mia Sosa has once again written another one of my favorite books!! I want to cryyyyy this book is so good!! Y'all Dean is Oooooo Dean is amazing, love that man so much!! And Solange ughhhh why are all these characters amazing. Like I already loved Max and Lina from The Worst Best Man why did I have to get emotionally attached to even more fictional characters. Oh my gosh and why was Max flipping hilarious in this book, like I don't remember him being this funny, maybe he was and I just forgot (like the way I forget every single thing about a book ten seconds after reading it). I literally don't know what else to say other than I love this book, I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH.

Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager for providing me an arc. I absolutely loved this book. I loved the concept. The banter was top notch. I love some good banter. There are some super spicy scenes and I was not mad about it. One specific scene caught me super off guard, since I have never read that in a book before, but I loved it. Mia Sosa always knows what she is doing. I do not think there will ever be a bad book that comes from her.

What happens when you are assisting your cousin’s wedding planner business and you witness something terrible the day of the wedding? Do you say something to stop the wedding in the name of true love or you mind your business and pretend you never saw a thing? 
This was a difficult decision for Solange Pereira. 

Unfortunately, Dean Chapman has a life plan set up. That includes marrying someone for the sake of securing a stable future and being a power couple. He was not counting on stumbling on one of his “steps” to have the perfect life. The opportunity on being a partner in the law firm he works for is threatened by the fact that he no longer has a partner. So, what else can he do that announce to everyone that the girl that crashed his wedding is new flame? 

What a mess right? Now Dean must convince Solanges to play along. Thankfully Solanges is still feeling bad about the whole wedding situation and decides to join the scheme and help Dean land his “dream” job. As they spend time together, their friendship grows and it couldn’t be any clearer that they are complete opposites. There’s absolutely no way that what started as fake-dating could end up as something more, right? Right? 

I love starting my reviews with “WHEN I TELL YOU…”, so this one will not be the exception.
When I tell you that I laughed my butt off and read this entire book with heart emojis for eyes, I’m not lying. This book transported me to D.C. I felt like I was beside them, watching everything develop. I, of course, was rooting for them from the very beginning, because that is just what you do. The chemistry between them is palpable and you just want them to get it on!! I did not feel the need to take out my chancla this time around. Solanche is hilarious and definitely in a different mindset from Lina. I loved her even more. Again, I’m in love with the family dynamic. These tias are the best. They’re so nosy, they remind me of my own tias. Solange’s relationship with her mom is heartwarming. Dean’s approach is also incredible. How he wants to be part of a family like hers but refuses to leave his mom hanging when she needed him the most. Agh this book is just perfection. Mia, I love you forever. Bringing this masterpiece to life. WOW (standing ovation for you ma’am)

This is the second or third time recently I’ve forgotten to read the synopsis of a book to realize it’s fake dating and I’m pretty over fake dating in general. The “fake dating” aspect of this one though didn’t irritate me much. 
This book is cute and funny. I love Solange and Dean for being themselves and also growing as characters. 

Mia Sosa continues to make me laugh with this series. I loved the dynamic between Dean and Solange, and how they navigated their fake-dating scheme. The tías are my absolute favorites! They're so hilarious, and I love how dedicated they are to their family and culture.

I wanted to love this book, and I feel like this is a case of, "It's not you, it's me," although, there was some dirty-talk that left me cringing and didn't let me enjoy much of their romantic/spicy  moments.

Overall, it's enjoyable and you get a good laugh out of it!

Dean and Solange are fucking amazing. 
Their banter, the dirty innuendos, the looks they shared? HELL YES TO ALL OF IT. 
I literally can't stop rambling about how amazing this book was. 
I really do hope she writes a third book that follows Brandon and Jaslene get together. Because they had good chemistry.

From crashing Dean's wedding to becoming his fake girlfriend, Solange is the woman alright.
 I loved her character so much and I love Mia Sosa's writing! Dean is this pretty chill guy we see from The Worst Best Man and I really liked his development from there. 
Solange is this strong woman who is kind of in between jobs but we see her making the right decisions regarding it and I loved how empathetic she was about her students, especially Layla.
I liked how this relationship rode the tide (:

I really enjoyed reading The Wedding Crasher. One thing I really love to see is a romance novel where the main conflict isn’t some kind of toxic relationship trait that anyone with sense can see it going to continue to be a problem, even after the main characters figure themselves out. Dean and Solange definitely have to work on themselves to realize what they want, but their communication is always very up front with what they are feeling in the moment, and that is refreshing. 

As a DC resident, and a District local since 2017, I was enchanted to read a book rooted so firmly in the DMV. The fact that Mia Sosa lives in the area screams off the page with every DC hot spot and cross street. I didn’t know I was getting into a book about a DC lawyer when I started reading, so I was delighted to see little references to Georgetown Law, my own alma mater in Dean’s pro Bono work. 

I also loved getting to know some of Solange’s family. I wish I could pay a visit to Rio de Wheaton!

All in all, I would definitely recommend The Wedding Crasher to anyone who reads romance. It has surprising moments, sweet moments, steamy moments, and heartstrings-tugging moments, and what more could you want? 

Also, I think I kind of want to be Mia Sosa when I grow up—a Yale Law grad who worked in media law and now writes books? Basically my dream career path (even though my degree came from the bottom of the T14 instead of the top). 😉
