I'm returning to this app just to gush about this book. 

Ruby Fever is the conclusion to the Catalina Baylor trilogy and even though I had high expectations for this book I can easily say this book was so much better than everything I expected.
This books is about Catalina and Alessandro facing Arkan, a former russian agent who after having eluded them in the last book is back and stronger and with a bigger army of strong magic users to defeat them.
 What I love about Ilona Andrews' books are how incredibly interesting the worldbuilding is and I think Hidden Legacy has the most interesting/ unique / complex magic system of all of their books.
And this book showcased that with incredible magical battles and fast pace action meshed with funny interactions from every member of the Baylor household.
One of the reasons why I love this book series is the family dynamics, how each member of the Baylor family is so interesting and funny that it makes want to read books about all of them and I loved how they all stood out in their own ways during the book.

Also I love how well thought out this book was, not only did they answer questions I've been wondering since the beginning of this trilogy, but from the earlier books.
(view spoiler)[I knew Linus was their grandparent, but I did not see the siren powers coming from his side of the family! I was also wondering when the Ceasar thing was going to resolved and I was even dreading it because I had grown fond of the old man and I knew it would spoil his relationship with the Baylor sisters so I was really happy to see it resolved the way it did. Also kinda ashamed I didn't even think him being Ceasar was a Warden thing.
Also I loved how they started healing their bond with their grandmother, because despite all the evil she's done you can tell she loves the Baylor's and it was so cute to see her fight along her grandkids.
I also loved how they resolved the Sagredo family storyline, I'm so glad the sisters managed to run from their grandfather and I hope there's more books just so I can see all of them interact.

I think this was definitely one of Ilona's most fun books, it was action packed and there were new revelations happening in every page. Funnily enough, despite been marketed as a romance there was so little romance in this book. I wish Avon marketed this as a fantasy series or an Urban Fantasy series because I bet it would gain so much traction than it gets as just marketed as romance.
Honestly so sad more people don't know about this series because it's so fun. I hope they do a trilogy for Arabella because they already hinted on possible love interests and I need more Baylor family magic.
