3.35⭐ Lisa has incredible power in her words. She got me hooked from the very first page. The chapters will jump from one narrator to another & one time line to another, without warning which I didn't like at first but 3 chapters in and I was loving it, figuring out who is speaking and when. Figured who the killer was from the first 4-5 chapters only, which any average reader would. By chapter 10, I was most certain. And that's the reason I kept going - it seemed too simple, and l wanted to know if I was right or wrong. By chapter 15-18, some more developments happened, but what i thought was still right. After that, it was like I already know the end, just wanted to knw how this is going to go down. What exactly happened in the past. It was more and less a question of the "pyschology" behind it. The plot was not amazing tho. Simple, predictable. That's the reason y even after being well written, there were times I was distracted, which shouldn't be happening for a thriller.

But then, I’m a man, and we’re all misogynists in our deepest secret hearts. We fear you for how much control you have over us, even when you don’t know it. Your words, not mine. I have nothing but respect for women, truly. I vastly prefer their company over the companionship of men.
The truth in these words, am loving Lisa Unger a little more
