Honestly when I started part 2 I was bored. I don’t want to leak any spoilers but there a lot of spins in this book that definitely took me through the motions & I can say none of the other books in the series really did that. So this is my favorite one by far. I love the style of writing that this author has perfected. The books are a lengthy size but it doesn’t feel like that because they’re so addictive I just keep turning the pages. All in all I rate this story 9/10 & if you’re reading my review I definitely recommend but you need to start from the beginning.

GAH! ALL THE FEELS!

What a conclusion to this incredible couple's story. When Checkmate: This is Dangerous  left off, I was all kinds of stressed. I can't imagine going through what either of these characters was forced to endure. But Checkmate: This is Beautiful was able to (after admittedly tearing me up even more) put me back together again. I adore Kayla and Logan!! I'm not sure if I can say I love them more than Drew and Courtney or Viola and Travis... but man, it sure is a close one! All three of these couples was incredible!! I do have to admit though that when it comes to chemistry, #TeamLayla ALL. THE. WAY! These two have a connection most people can only dream of. I wish we all could experience a love like Logan Knight shares with Kayla, but at the very least we were all able to experience it through this story. The way KF has this ability to truly make you FEEL everything while reading is such a outstanding and admirable talent. It's mind-blowing to me.

So here we are, at the conclusion of the Checkmate Duet Series. I couldn't imagine a better conclusion to this incredible set of duets. This writing duo has proven themselves time and time again with characters impossible not to love, off-the-charts chemistry, and cliffhangers that are the best (and worst) you'll ever experience. I'm very sad to see this series end, but I'm overjoyed that there is a new series on the horizon. Bring on the Bishop Brothers!!

3-3.5 stars!! There's some unnecessary drama here and there, but overall I really did enjoy Kayla and Logan's ending. It's sweet, a little angsty, and verrry dramatic. Fans of the series will love this Checkmate duet finale! For me, this might be my fav of the series. Review to come!
