Siege and storm was definitely my favorite of this series despite it being slow in some parts. I loved the plot, the pirates and the addition of new characters especially Nikolai. This book was a little more complex than the previous one with a lot fighting and long scenes of Alina planning a war, which was a little slow but it was still interesting enough. Siege and storm in my opinion was a more political fantasy than the other two books, and while it was boring in some parts it was still a well written book. The ending was really intense and alot of stuff happened which made me want to read ruin and rising immediately

This book was... compelling. It follows the protagonist Alina and her bf Mal as they go on a whaler, kill a cursed serpent prince and in the end have yo go into hiding. The book was definitely slow to read, although I think the plot was wonderful. Great story, although I wish it had been written differently. Definitely worth the read :)) and omg ik why everyone says they love Nikolai but Sturmhond... 😍😍

So, many people didn’t love this sequel… for me it was the best or the trilogy. It may be a bit slow at first but there are pirates, more war, it gets more complicated. The secondary characters in this book are awesome, even the author gave one of them his own bilogy. Also, I love drama and plot twists, so for me good ending.
