this is mostly triela and hilshire's backstory and the matter of their complicated relationship. they're actually my most favorite fratello in this series and i think they have the most genuine relationship out of all of them that goes beyond the 'fratello' status. they genuinely care for each other, regardless of triela's conditioning and their complex situation.

hilshire, i think, is the only handler who really doesn't want triela to be there, acting as a weapon in the middle of the war. he's the most reluctant. he was 'threatened' to be there and if it wasn't for triela, he really doesn't care much if he is executed because of the 'things' he came to know. if he has the chance, he would get triela out of there and continue living away from all of this mess. and even though he's tied to his painful past because of her, he never treated her in a way she doesn't deserved. 

it's a triela volume so this has to be one of my favorite volumes in this series, my third five-star volume, which the other one was unsurprisingly about triela too. i'm getting the feeling that the end of the series is near and i'm still unsure as to what to expect. all i know is that i should prepare myself emotionally because things are getting heavier
