LICHTEMPFINDLICH' ist eine Ausstellungsreihe, die den Sammlungsbestand zeitgenössischer Fotografie von über 400 Werken und über 50 Künstlern aus der Sammlung Schaufler vorstellt. In der Publikation wird erstmalig der vielfältige und spannungsreiche Bestand an Fotografien mit Positionen der Düsseldorfer Fotoschule, von Nobuyoshi Araki, Klaus Heider und Wolfgang Tillmans erfasst. Das Hauptinteresse der Sammler Peter Schaufler und Christiane Schaufler-Münch gilt nicht dem Medium als solchem und seiner Geschichte, sondern vielmehr geht es um die Faszination, die von bestimmten Motiven, Bilderfindungen und deren formaler Umsetzung ausgeht. Renommierte Foto- und Kunsthistoriker beleuchten in der Publikation das Medium aus verschiedenen Perspektiven und führen anhand stilistischer Themen wie Architektur, Porträt, Akt und Farbe in die Thematik ein.
