Nourrir la pierre traverse les impressions d'un enfant face à l’infini des choses qu’il explore, de la pulpe de ses doigts au creux sous sa langue. L’enfant nous fait passer de l’autre côté d’une paupière, explorer l’intérieur d’un ventre, sentir les aspérités d’une pierre. Au fil de la lecture, on entre progressivement dans un espace, la maison, où se côtoient quatre générations de femmes et la mystérieuse figure d’un père insaisissable que l’enfant observe en détail.
