Clay MacCauley

Clay MacCauley was an American Civil War veteran, Unitarian minister, pioneering American missionary in Japan, author of several books, head of the Senshin Sakuin School for advanced learning in Japan, and organizing leader of the American Association of Tokyo. MacCauley was admired for his bravery during the Civil War as one of the 75,000 soldiers who fought for the union. Clay also made lasting impacts as a Unitarian minister all around the United States including Detroit, Washington DC, and New York.
