Colin Blackburn, Baron Blackburn, was a Scottish judge who is remembered as one of the greatest exponents of the common law. At one point, Blackburn was a judge in the Court of Exchequer Chamber. On 16 October 1876, he became the first person to be made a law lord under the terms of the newly passed Appellate Jurisdiction Act.
