Dennis Kasper

Dennis Kasper is an American microbiologist, and the William Ellery Channing Professor of Medicine and Professor of Immunology at Harvard Medical School. He leads the Kasper Laboratory within the Blavatnik Institute in the Department of Immunology at Harvard Medical School. He is also executive dean for academic programs at Harvard Medical School and director of the Channing Laboratory Department of Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Kasper is known for his research in immunochemistry alongside the genetics of bacteria and their role in virulence – research that has concentrated on topics related to bacterial polysaccharides.
