This volume contains selected papers of the International Workshop on "Categorical Methods in Computer Science - with Aspects from Topology" and of the "6th International Data Type Workshop" held in August/September 1988 in Berlin. The 23 papers of this volume are grouped into three parts: Part 1 includes papers on categorical foundations and fundamental concepts from category theory in computer science. Part 2 presents applications of categorical methods to algebraic specification languages and techniques, data types, data bases, programming, and process specifications. Part 3 comprises papers on categorial aspects from topology which mainly concentrate on special adjoint situations like cartesian closeness, Galois connections, reflections, and coreflections which are of growing interest in categorical topology and computer science.

ICGT 2002 was the ?rst International Conference on Graph Transformation following a series of six international workshops on graph grammars with - plications in computer science, held in Bad Honnef (1978), Osnabruc ̈ k (1982), Warrenton (1986), Bremen (1990), Williamsburg (1994), and Paderborn (1998). ICGT 2002 was held in Barcelona (Spain), October 7–12, 2002 under the a- pices of the European Association of Theoretical Computer Science (EATCS), the European Association of Software Science and Technology (EASST), and the IFIP Working Group 1.3, Foundations of Systems Speci?cation. The scope of the conference concerned graphical structures of various kinds (like graphs, diagrams, visual sentences and others) that are useful to describe complex structures and systems in a direct and intuitive way. These structures are often augmented by formalisms which add to the static description a further dimension, allowing for the modeling of the evolution of systems via all kinds of transformations of such graphical structures. The ?eld of Graph Transformation is concerned with the theory, applications, and implementation issues of such formalisms. The theory is strongly related to areas such as graph theory and graph - gorithms, formal language and parsing theory, the theory of concurrent and distributed systems, formal speci?cation and veri?cation, logic, and semantics.

The volume comprises the proceedings of the third International Conference on Dynamics in Logistics LDIC 2012. The scope of the conference targeted the identification, analysis, and description of the dynamics of logistic processes and networks. The spectrum ranged from the modeling and planning of processes and innovative methods like autonomous control and knowledge management to the new technologies provided by radio frequency identification, mobile communication, and networking. The growing dynamics in the area of logistics poses completely new challenges: Logistic processes and networks must rapidly and flexibly adapt to continuously changing conditions. LDIC 2012 provided a venue for researchers from academia and industry interested in the technical advances in dynamics in logistics. The conference addressed research in logistics from a wide range of fields, e.g. engineering, computer science and operations research. The volume consists of two invited papers and of 49 contributed papers divided into various subjects including transport logistics, routing in dynamic logistic networks, modeling, simulation, optimization and collaboration in logistics, identification technologies, mathematical modeling in transport and production logistics, information, communication, risk and failure in logistic systems, autonomous control in logistic processes, global supply chains and industrial applications, and the Internet of Things in the context of logistics.
