Helen Hillyard

Helen Hillyard is a British curator and art historian, who currently serves as curator at the Dulwich Picture Gallery, in London, and has been with the gallery since 2015. She studied at the University of Cambridge and the Courtauld Institute of Art. Thereafter she was a curatorial trainee at the National Gallery from 2013-2104. In particular, her work at the gallery has focused on ensuring that the collection and the museum’s activities are more accessible to younger generations, and often works to contextualize Dutch artists working in England during the seventeenth century. Hillyard is known for her curatorial and scholarly work on seventeenth-century Dutch and Flemish art through her research and exhibitions.
