'Dia de São Nunca à Tarde' é uma novela de Roberto Drummond, um dos grandes nomes da literatura brasileira. Morto em 2002 julgava-se que sua obra tivesse sido interrompida. Mas ele deixou um livro inacabado de novelas e contos longos intitulado 'Recordações do Paraíso'. Apenas um dos textos do livro - a novela 'Dia de São nunca à Tarde' - foi dada como concluída pelo autor, que tinha o hábito obsessivo de reescrever seus livros dezenas de vezes. Utilizando uma estrutura perecida com a de Hilda Furacão - seu livro mais famoso -, o autor narra a história do internato do colégio São Francisco, na década de 50, em Minas Gerais. Nesse lugar, alunos, fantasmas mal-humorados e freis milagreiros dividem o mesmo espaço. Depois das férias escolares, todos esperam ansiosamente pela volta do belo aluno Gabriel. Os capítulos se desenrolam em ritmo de suspense e humor e um mistério paira no ar quando Gabriel chega - será ele mesmo ou será Gabriela disfarçada? Sabe-se que Gabriela gostaria de ser homem, e Gabriel, mulher. A história toma rumos inesperados.

Hilda Furacão passa-se em Belo Horizonte no início dos anos 60, Hilda, a Garota do Maiô Dourado, enfeitiçava os homens na beira da piscina em um dos mais tradicionais clubes, o Minas Tênis. Por algum motivo secreto muda-se para o quarto 304 do Maravilhoso Hotel, na zona boêmia da cidade. Transformada em Hilda Furacão, a musa erótica tira o sono da cidade. Sua vida de fada sexual cruza-se com os sonhos de três rapazes vindos do interior: um é inspirado no notório Frei Betto, que queria ser santo, mas se tornaria frade franciscano, líder político e escritor. Outro queria ser ator em Hollywood — torna-se dom Juan de aluguel. O terceiro, aquele que queria ter sua Sierra Maestra, é o próprio Roberto, narrador da história. Hilda Furacão é o desafio que o santo tem que enfrentar. O romance foi transformado em minissérie de grande sucesso pela TV Globo, com Ana Paula Arósio no papel de Hilda.
