Loved it!

Reread

oh my goddddd i can't even form words. love is beautiful. war sucks.

Great mix of romance and action. Story telling and plot were great and easy to follow.

First 5🌟 of the year! I wasn’t expecting to like this book this much because I didn’t like ACOTAR too much but pushed through bc I heard the first book was the weakest of the series. And I am so happy that I did. This book has so much more of a page turner! So much action and story building. I just know that no movie/tv show will be able to capture the beauty of Velaris. It was very beautifully described.
SPOILER: I prefer Feyre and Rhysand relationship over hers with Tamlin !!

The ending had a nice plottwist and I'm excited to see how the story evolves in the next book!

this one took me a really really long time to get into (almost a whole year to finish) but i really truly enjoyed it once it started getting to the good stuff. it’s worth all the boring parts if you can get past them. i recommend listening to an audiobook to get past the parts you find “boring”, that’s what helped me. to actually hear it instead of reading and trailing off every few seconds.

OMG I'M OBSESSED WITH THIS BOOK! It was a little hard to get into near the beginning, but after the wedding scene, I was hooked. I love every single one of these characters (except Tamlin, fuck him) and I loved watching Feyre come alive again. Rhys is one of the best book boyfriends ever and I love watching their love grow. The ending had me absolutely shook, the way I was freaking out stressing while finishing this was crazy. I literally cannot wait to read the next book, but I honestly never want this series to end.

nothing compares to throne of glass. but i ate this up.

Fantastic book, my favorite of the series.

Ya already know x2

I’m still feral over this book months later. Truly had me kicking my feet and giggling.

that ending, wow

I need the third book now 🥲🥲

Uff. More than hooked.
What a beautiful love story - between two people but also self love and healing. Makes it hard to come back into the real world

A masterpiece

the ending ?! have never picked up another book so quickly

The STORYLINE was prefect. The romantic tension was beautiful. So much happen, couldn’t put this book down.

I couldn’t stop listening to this, it had me completely hooked. The writing and dialogue are crisper and sharper than the first book, the plot more engaging, the characters more fully developed, the themes more complex, and the romance and sex smoulder and spark without ever becoming cringe-inducing.
Highlights

And so Tamlin unwittingly led the High Lady of the Night Court into the heart of his territory.

within us, and said, "If they had removed her other glove, they would have seen a second tattoo on her right arm. The twin to the other. Inked last night, when we crept out, found a priestess, and I swore her in as High Lady."
OH MY GOD

"She's your mate, Amren bit at me.Not your spy. Go get her.“
"She is my mate. And my spy," I said too quietly. "And she is the High Lady of the Night Court."
OH MY GOD

I winnowed beyond his reach. The king let out a low laugh as Tamlin stumbled.
And went sprawling as Rhysand's fist connected with his face.
i hope you die tampon.

“A better world.”
sounds familiar..

Knelt on those stars and mountains inked on his knees. He would bow for no one and nothing—But his mate. His equal.

"I want you to know," I whispered, "that I am broken and healing, but every piece of my heart belongs to you. And I am honored—honored to be your mate.”

“I . . " He glanced down, then up at me again. "I knew ...I knew I was in love with you that moment I picked up the knife to kill Amarantha.”
i love him

“The High Lord of the Night Court is your mate."
WHAT

“I was looking for you, too,” Rhys murmured.

He watched me take a long drink from mine. “Im thinking." he said, following the flick of my tongue over my bottom lip, “that I look at you and feel like I'm dying. Like I can't breathe. I'm thinking that I want you so badly I can't concentrate half the time I'm around you, and this room is too small for me to properly bed you. Especially with the wings."
oh!!!!!

“Then I would have torn apart the world to get you back."
i’m going to have 100 highlights before this book even finishes

He said softly, "I love it when you look at me like that."
The purr in his voice heated my blood. "Like what?"
“Like my power isn't something to run from. Like you see me."

“You look good with wings," he said, and kissed my brow.
Even the rain stopped feeling so cold.
get married NEOW

I did not mind stepping out of the shadows, did not mind even being in the shadows to begin with, so long as he was with me. My friend through so many dangers—who had fought for me when no one else would, even myself.
i think i’m crying a lil

“Smile again,” he whispered.
So I smiled at him, broad and without restraint.
"You're exquisite," he breathed.
IK DCREAMING

"I will kill anyone who harms you," Rhys snarled. "I will kill them, and take a damn long time doing it." He panted. "Go ahead. Hate me—- despise me for it."
i’m literally going to marry him what

You are good, Rhys. You are kind. This mask does not scare me. I see you beneath it.

He led me the few steps onto the dais to the throne. He sat, smiling faintly at his monstrous court. He owned every inch of the throne. These people.
And with a tug on my waist, he perched me on his lap.
i’m kicking my feet

The crown that was the sibling to my gold diadem.

"To the people who look at the stars and wish, Rhys."
He picked up his glass, his gaze so piercing that I wondered why I had bothered blushing at all for Tarquin.
Rhys clinked his glass against mine. "To the stars who listen—and the dreams that are answered."
yes yes yes

“What got under my skin," Rhys said, his breathing a bit uneven, "is that you smiled at him."
The rest of the world faded to mist as the words sank in. "You are jealous."
poor rhys has only got snarls

It’d just been a relief to think that for a moment, he might have been as lonely as me.
sigh

And maybe I was exhausted and broken, but I breathed, "I killed them. "
I hadn't said the words aloud since it had happened. Cassan's lips tightened. "I know." Not condemnation, not praise. But grim understanding.
My hands slackened as another shuddering sob worked its way through me. “It should have been me."
