A Perfect Spy
Magnus Pym, Britain's premier spy, has vanished -- sending intelligence communities on a frenzied international manhunt. As the search plays out, so does a chain of clandestine operations surfacing in Washington, Vienna, Prague, London, and Berlin. But the most powerful drama of all comes from exploring Pym's background -- his education as a spy, and the spectacular motives and mentors who transformed him into a master of guile and deception.

Absolutely fantastic, intricately written, a real page turner (hundreds and hundreds of pages....)

This was wonderful recording of a BBC performance of "A Perfect Spy". It has multiple actors, uses *stereo* and depth of sound to add to the well-rounded performance. Very enjoyable. I would have given this five stars, but as it showed in the performance, the story is not spy-focused; it is character-focused. As I have read reviews, this book is considered the best book Le Carre' has ever written. I think I should circle back and read the *nearly* 500-page tome to properly gauge this book. For a quick four-CD play, it was outstanding, but I'm leaving room for the book to surpass it.
