3.5 stars

4.5 stars! Sebastian, who goes by Baz, is a well-known rock star living a pretty rebellious and dangerous life. After an assault incident, he ends up in Savannah, Georgia to hide out until the dust settles in LA before returning home. Shea (love that name!) is living in Savannah, working at Charlie’s, her uncle’s bar, as a waitress. The two meet in the bar, and their connection is instant. Of course they’re both incredibly gorgeous and immediately physically attracted… but can there be more than that between these two? “Every instinct told me I needed to run, that there was something about this beautiful stranger I couldn’t resist.” I’m deliberately being vague with this one, as I don’t want to give too much of the story away. I will say this relationship is one of my favorites. And seeing the way Baz was around Shea and other characters in this story was so sweet. This bad-tempered man definitely had a softer side, and I really enjoyed seeing it shine. Warning: HUGE cliffhanger ending. I despise cliffhangers, but this one was super well done, and I’m not as mad about it since book two is available for me to read. What I hate most about cliffhangers is the wait for the next book. I lose some of that “OMG!!” feeling while waiting the year for its release, and it’s just not the same. But books that end like this, just begging for you to pick up book two, which is currently available… I loved it! A book you won’t want to miss. This was recommended to me by a bloggy friend, and I can’t thank her enough. I didn’t have it on my radar until she said how much she adored it. I’ll definitely be pushing this book on others, as it’s really pretty darn amazing. Two torn-up characters, both searching for happiness, both filled to the brim with secrets, both unable to deny their intense connection. Gripping, emotional, heartwarming and heartbreaking all within a matter of minutes. I loved this story, and with that ending (best cliffhanger ending ever!) I will immediately be downloading Drowning to Breathe, book two! :) Audiobook Impressions: Sebastian York and Andi Ardnt. Two of my very favorite narrators, together, performing this fantastic book. I couldn’t be a happier audiobook listener than I am right now. These stellar narrators can do no wrong in my eyes. They were the perfect pick for this book, and I wouldn’t change a thing. They even did a fantastic job doing a child’s voice, which is REALLY difficult to find in a narrator. I’d definitely recommend the audio route with this narrating dream team!
