Interesting and varied. The collection is full of poems with varying themes; nature, love, war, myth, and politics, all which I quite enjoyed. Although, one also needs to be mildly educated though on certain subjects such as Irish mythology and politics to fully grasp some of the work. As the first poems collection I read and as a nonnative English speaker, I definitely had a little difficulty fully grasping the lines. I was reading Jericho Brown’s The Tradition at the same time so the difference in style was very interesting.

Really interesting. I've never read any Yeats and he's a great poet. The one thing is that you need to take your time on many poems as there's a lot of references to things that are not as well known today (i.e. the sphinx in the second coming).
