A Treacherous Curse
Reviews

I thoroughly enjoy every single book that Deanna Raybourn writes!!! This one was no exception!!!

I need the next one right now, pretty please πππ

4.5 stars These are quickly becoming some of my favorite books! Full review to come.

Iβve quickly become obsessed with this series and now itβs one of my favorites. Itβs such a fun mix of adventure, witty banter and mystery. I also really love the relationship between Veronica and Stoker and the way they play off one another, and I need the next book like right now.

Love the relationship between Veronica and Stoker

The mystery was interesting but not perfectly executed, I feel. Veronica sometimes rubs me the wrong way but I absolutely adore gruff Stoker and his delicate sensibilities.

Ahhhh!!! Where do I begin?! Let me just say that I love Raybourn's writing. She is from Texas and you would never know she wasn't from England! I love how her writing can make me feel the feelings the characters are feeling. There was one particular argument that Veronica and Stoker have that just hurts you to the core! Her writing is such a treat! I thought the character development was by far the best in this book! Veronica and Stoker are starting to come to terms with their feelings! Yay!!! I really think Veronica has grown so much. She used to be a man hunting wild woman (yep, I called her wild because she makes some really poor comments about men.) and now she is starting to think differently. You don't have to put down the other sex (I'm talking to men AND women here) to feel stronger or better. Both sexes have different, great qualities that make each of us unique. Anyways, I also really like the plot of this one! This was my favorite of all the books. I liked the Egyptian history mixed in. However, there was a character who committed suicide. I don't really do well reading about that. It makes me extremely sad and I truly think it's one of if not the worst way to die.
