Never too far

Never too far a Rosemary Beach novel

Abbi Glines2014
"Just when Blaire allowed herself to fall for her stepbrother, Rush, he revealed a life-altering secret so devastating that she couldn't forgive him. Unable to face him again, Blaire leaves the promise of true love behind in Rosemary Beach and returns to the comforts of her small town in Alabama, wanting nothing more than to put the summer behind her. But unexpected news complicates Blaire's plans, and she's forced to trust the one man she shouldn't. Trapped between Rush's fierce desire to win her back and her own sense of self-preservation, Blaire doesn't know if she's doing the right thing . . . or if she's making the biggest mistake of her life." --

Continuation of Rush and Blaire's story. Not as good as the first book, but it was still decent. I can deal without the mopey, depressed Rush that tended to be annoying, but seriously, why do so many male characters get to whiny and depressed when their relationships end? Half the time it was because of something they did. Nan was a bitchy thing that needs a slap.

Abbi Glines has done it again, 5 star novel with Never Too Far (Too Far #2). Wow I could not believe the twist she threw in there that I never saw coming. Never Too Far starts off right where Fallen Too Far (Too Far #1) ended. I loved how we got to get into Rush’s head with his POV. His thoughts broke my heart. He was still the same old sexy Tattoo wearing Rush that knows how to use his yummy tongue ring. He has never been in love until he met Blaire. She is back in town and he will do what ever it takes to keep her there. I loved how he was willing to be friends if he could not have her as a girlfriend. But at times it was hard for him to not try and rekindle there relationship. Now it is Blaire who has a secret and is trying hard to keep it from everyone and Rush. Her secret is revealed early on and is part of the plot. She still is heartbroken from the betrayal from Rush and is trying hard to not give into her feelings for him. I could not swipe my e-reader fast enough to see if they will ever get their HEA. Their journey is a emotional roller coaster and loved every high and low with them. The sexual tension is hot and the sex scenes are delicious that got my girly bits tingly. Got to see more of the secondary characters especially the sexy Woods. I loved his friendship with Blaire and loved it more when Rush would get jealous. Yay baby his story is next. I am loving the Too Far series. The characters are fun and real. I was right there with them laughing and crying. I love how Abbi Glines deals with real issues and makes it that the characters thoughts and feelings are real. I am noticing in the New Adult genre authors are having that format and usually a secret or a big twist thrown in. It has to be done right and Abbi Glines has nailed it again in Never Too Far. Never Too Far is keeper, look forward to reading Fallen Too Far (Too Far #1) and Never Too Far (Too Far #2) back to back. I can not wait to see what she has in store for us with Woods in Twisted Perfection (Too Far #3). Originally posted at Wickedly Delicious Book Blog

“She's amazing. No... she's perfect. Everything about her is fucking perfect," I said aloud. "I don't just love her, she owns me. Completely. I'd do anything for her.” AH RUSH I loved this one and I'm so in love with the world Abbi Glines created in Rosemary Beach! Every.Single. Character. except Nann The depth of them especially seen at the end it was just phenomenal and the very well structured... I was prepared to give this book 4 stars because yes, at times it was frustrating. But it was realistic. Blaire and Rush go through ALOT of ups and downs like..ALOT. But it was real and towards the middle of the book it started to get a little annoying because I felt like we just kept going up and down and I just wished we got to see a lot more of the ups in their relationship but the ending of this book had me in tears and was so wonderful and well deserved by the end of this book! It was so sweet and I LOVED having Rush's point of view! I really really liked him in Fallen Too Far but I fell IN LOVE with him in this one. I just really admired how he wouldn't give up and how much he loved Blaire. It was so cute! "No.One.Comes.Before.You" AHH RUSH “No man has ever loved a woman as much as I love you. Nothing will ever come before you. I don’t know what else I have to do to prove to you that I won’t let you down again. I won’t hurt you. You don’t have to be alone anymore. I need you.” *swoons* Blaire also really grew in this book and really developed into her own and I loved the closure she got at the end of this book... "A sob tore from my chest and I threw myself into his arms. When they wrapped around me and held me tightly, I let all the pain free. I cried for the life we'd lost. I cried for him, because he wasn't strong enough and I cried for me, because it was time." That part was so RAW. But really the last paragraph got to me in this book!!! Friendship was another huge element in the story this time. I loved Blaires friendship with Bethy and Woods! So much fun to read! I was so emotional in the best way. Technically the series with them could have ended here but I'm so excited to have another book with them to jump into! And I can't wait for Woods and Grants story!! These books are so addicting and so much fun to read! I've definitely fallen under the spell of Abbi Glines books! "I don't just love her, she owns me. Completely. I'd do anything for her” I LOVE YOU RUSH

This book was a great follow up to Fallen Too Far. This book takes off where the 1st one left off: Blaire is back in her hometown and Rush is still pining after Blaire. When Blaire's world gets turned upside down, will she confide in Rush or will she try to face it alone? I really enjoyed this book just as I did the first one. This author has a definite talent for getting the reader engaged in the story. My only problem with this book is that there were times when I found Blaire absolutely annoying and unreasonable, but I will just blame that on the hormones. ;) I recommend this book to anybody who read Fallen Too Far and liked it. I am super excited for the next book in this series!

Rarely does a sequel measure up to the first. I found this to be the case with "Never Too Far". This book was focused on the reprocussions from events that took place in the 1st book "Fallen Too Far". Although Rush was back, his alpha male character slowly became a crawling sob story. There were glimpses of the Rush I fell in love with.....but not enough to satisfy me. Blair's insecurities glared from the pages. Unlike the first book, both Rush and Blair share the narrative. I'm sure most would disagree, but I would have preferred to maintain the strong, badboy image than see his inner workings. Overall, it completed the the series. Questions were answered, loose ends tied up. I liked it....I just didn't LOVE it. Looking forward to the next book focussing on Woods...just hope the boy loosens up a little! I hate the covers on these books they are such a put off but they are well worth the read. I mean yes, often they are predictable and full of tropes but I could not put it down and the characters and plot are well written. Glines writes books that are really quick and easy to read if you are looking for that sort of thing. They are very addictive and I have to admit that I was hooked very early on. This isn't the most amazing book ever but I really enjoyed it and I will be reading more from Abbi Glines.

Sadly not as good as the first one. The same thing kept happening, just with a little different circumstances everytime. I still enjoyed the story and liked the characters. I love Blaire and Rush, but also think Woods, Grant and Bethy are very fun. The plot isn't great but it's a fun read.

I can not express how disappointing this book was, I decided to give it a try, but the whole story was wrong, the characters are completely stupid, the way they think. The whole story happens in four months… only two months have past and she is pregnant, he has rejected all his family for her, and she still doubts everything… too much drama… and is not even good drama. When she Blaire is introduced in the first book, the writer makes you believe that she is the kind of girl that doesn’t take bullshit from no one, she owns a gun, and blah blah blah, the girl is so easy manipulated. Every time that Rush would fuck up, she would start saying that she was going to leave, but not even once she made he bags and left. Rush would come back and excuse himself, and she would be like “Oh I got it all wrong, I’ll stay”. Yeah she got it all wrong but she gives in so easy, and everything is sex for her. I just… I can’t. Again the only thing that kept me going was Woods, I read that there are two books about him, but I’ll probably not read them because I don’t want the character to be tainted and destroyed, by dumb soap opera drama. I’m sorry I just don’t enjoy books like this.
