Years after Gohan and Goku defeat Cell, the world has forgotten about true heroes and Gohan lives a mild existance as a high school student. At school he meets the daughter of Hercule, the man who claims he defeated Cell and saved the world. He's in for a shock when he faces the true heroes at the tournament.

(3.5) I love a good Budokai arc, but this one’s a little weird. The “New Generation” title totally fits—Gotham, Goten, and Trunks are getting fleshed out, and it feels like they would replace the adult cast. But then that just…didn’t happen, and knowing that makes it a little strange to see all the focus on how Goten is like his father. As far as entertainment value, though, I enjoyed the return of the more light-hearted tone.
