Update, Dec 7th, 2022: Let me tart by saying I was really excited about this duet and I read the first book in about a day. On paper it had multiple of my favorite tropes, it's by famous writer -- that I've wanted to read books by for a while, so bonus points -- sounds perfect, right? And it was going pretty good until around 80%. There was lots of drama, tension, hot sex, likable morally-gray MMC. Solid 4 stars. Then everything goes to sh*t -.- I was convinced that I had missed something major, and that's why nothing was making sense from that point on, so I decided to read the second book as well. Maybe it'll fill in some blanks, dunno? HAHAHAH YOU WISH. So, without spoiling anything of the actual plot, I'll try to explain most of why I'm so angry: - MFC (Isa) was not likable at all and really irritating - there's this big secret that Isa has and MFC (Bryant) uses it to blackmail her. Secret is exposed AND THERE'S LITERALLY ONE LINE OF AWCKNOLEDGMENT the whole duet. - the whole story has no point at all - where the hell was the romance? MFC & MMC are slowly falling in love, then BAM shit happens, we skip THE WHOLE "I LOVE YOU" phase and YEARS of them having this epic love, and then book 2 picks up? I didn't care about them at all because we never actually saw them loving each other? - plot holes after plot holes - who's a good guy? who's a bad guy? No idea. I doubt anyone knows. - MMF was the only redeemable character of them all, but the author pretty much messed it up by skipping years of the story - don't even let me start about MFC's "best guy friend" because there was not one redeemable act of his but MFC trusted him irrevocably. It was all a biiig freaking mess. I wish I could give it a higher rating. As a first-time reader of Amo Jones, I was hoping for something better. Alas, it's not the case. I honestly think 2 ⭐ is too much, but I really like the covers and those first ~80% of the first book I enjoyed, soooo... ------------------------------------------------ Dec 4th, 2022: What? 3 / 5 ⭐

my mind is whirling. what was the ending wtf happened

empecé entendiendo nada y terminé entendiendo menos

Rating: 4 Stars - Loved It WTF did I just read. Just when I thought I had everything figured out with Bryant and Isa in Crowned By Hate (Crowned #1) by Amo Jones, she has the biggest twist I never seen coming. I am a hot mess because I was so off and confused. Many OMG and WTF just happened moments. So happy I waited till book 2 was out as I need to know after that ending. .

***4.5 Stars**** I’m not going to go into detail what this book is about. If you are ready to have your head messed with, and I mean really, really messed with, just pick the book up and dive in. This book does get dark, so keep that in mind. Overall I liked this book. The reason for it not having 5 Stars is because I got confused at times of where the story was because it would jump sometimes and sometimes I didn’t know who was talking. Other than that, it was a really good book and I look forward to the next book.

I received an ARC of this book from the author and voluntarily reviewed it. Thanks Amo Jones! I thought I was good at predicting endings, but man, I did not see THAT coming. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around it, and for that I applaud Amo Jones. Her ingenuity really came through in this one, with a completely mind boggling story. I enjoyed the way it was written. I like reading sassy thoughts and comments - hey, I need inspiration for when I'll need to use some *wink*. I thought that maybe some passages or concepts could have been more developed, but I'm pretty sure Jones will answer our questions with more questions in the sequel - cause that's her thing (she's lucky I love her). I came into this book expecting, yes a mindfuck, which I got, but also darkness. I wanted to dance with the demons written down on the pages. I wanted to play and bask in them, alas I think I may have desensitized myself to such darkness (I have been reading this stuff since I'm 16 so five years may do it). It takes more and more to shock me, and I gotta say, I was a little sad this didn't push limits as much as I thought it would. Regardless, this was a page turner that left me tapping my phone while the (last) page didn't turn into a new one. I did read the last chapters twice just to be sure I hadn't missed anything. Just gotta sit and not so patiently wait for book two now.

Well I didn't like this book at all. The main character is so sassy and annoying I can't stand her. Was thebautgor trying to make her funny? Because to me, she's just a spoiled brat. Also, too many things happens and there is no character development what so ever.
