** spoiler alert ** Spoilers in this review. Overall enjoyed this book. It’s a fun read and holds your attention from start to finish. BUT it has a super sudden and unsatisfying ending. All that build up just for everything to end abruptly in like two pages and all the main characters are exiled with no explanation. We never get details of the treaty or find out if slavery gets abolished or how the species are intended to divvy things up / coexist. I also don’t know why they let any of the elves that were at the final battle live? Also, the reveal about the existence of dragons had way less impact than I expected from the build up? So many things that were being set up just sort of hazily tied up and left mostly unexplained.
