Folkestone Triennial Tales of Time and Space

The Folkestone Triennial, Tales of Time and Space, is a public project made up of sculpture, photography, film, installations, sound-work and performances inspired by Folkestones past, present and future. It features a raft of new work specially commissioned for Folkestone from internationally acclaimed and emerging artists, including Christian Boltanski, Tacita Dean, Jeremy Deller, Tracey Emin, Langlands and Bell, Heather and Ivan Morison, Mark Wallinger and Richard Wilson. The work is being displayed in Folkestones public spaces the beach, the harbour, parks, the marine promenade and historic buildings. Published to accompany the inaugural Folkestone Triennial, this illustrated catalogue comprises essays written by Andrea Schlieker, the Triennials curator, and the twenty-two participating artists. It also serves as a guide to the Triennial and an educative record of a major cultural event.
