Very well written and researched. This book will be an easy sell in my middle school library. A book about a hero war dog? Has a fantastic bibliography and afterword explaining the research and a great learn more about WWI page. This short nonfiction book is a fantastic starting point for kids and WWI, especially those who have read everything about WWII and crinkle their noses at books on the first war. This will get them hooked.
