I liked the characters, I liked the plot and I liked the sex. But there was so much unnecessary dialogues, so much divagation, and so much interesting conflicts that ended with "none of us said anything else" and then everyone forgets about it that it made the book unnecessarily dense. I liked the beginning, and the end, but the rest ...

 A complete detract from Lestat, this book is exactly the title.. a book about Armand.Crazy to think that despite being 500 years old as a vampire, his physical form is that of a 17 year old.

Very poetic and visual way of writing from Armands point of view. The scenes and descriptions jumping off the page at the reader and transporting them to the scene.

 I really like that we get to see a pre-vampire Armand and learn about who he was before he was made. He is telling the story to David, but we are getting it through his actual point of view and not just his dialogue. His meeting of Maruis and becoming his ward. His life basically transforms from whatever he was in life prior to Marius. He lives in splendor.

 This novel has a much more erotic feel to it thus far. 

 Armand returns to his place of origin, his birth place. To relive past moments in his life, to remember things as they were during his boyhood.

 He finds out his father is still alive, having succumbed to his own inner demon's at having lost his son.

 You can really feel the chaos and terror of the other vampires attacking Maruis and Armand and everything that ensues.

 Even though it does seem like it would be repetitive, I like when things tie back in to the earlier books.

 After reading how close Armand and Marius were, it is super heartbreaking to see that rift between then now.

 After the events following the revelation of Veronica's veil, Armand is found by two humans whom he does impart his true origin on. Letting them know he is(what he considers) a monster.

 The two humans help nurse Armand back from his brink of death. They aren't scared off by him and what he does to survive.

 It seems in all the books so far, there are a few humans that the various vampires love unconditionally and the same is true for Armand.
