Reviews

i did like this book better than the first one of this series. But when i'm saying that i'm much more intrigued in Caleb and Raines story than the next planned book of Olive and Alex i mean it.

I really enjoyed the general plot and the storyline of her character growth and personal healing journey. I liked how a lot of it included internal dialogue surrounding her thought-process regarding her sexual assault. What I didn't like was how the author wrote the characters and their romance. It didn't feel fully fleshed out and I hate the trope of a relationship being the solution to problems.

i love a good college sports romance book, but this one was so weird with the trauma aspect. like she never clarified in the end for the audience what truly she remembered which annoyed me.

Beg You to Trust Me was a sweet story about Skylar and DJ. Skylar had a rough start to her college life after wanting to please others. This started rumors about her that were truly horrifying but I felt with her because I had a similar experience in high school. DJ did not care about these rumors and always tries to help her with her past trauma, although he did make an ass of himself at the beginning. The dynamic between these two makes my heart swell with love. I felt as if I could feel the love bleeding through these pages that B. Celeste wrote. He did not care if he could only be with her as a friend but wanted so much more and he always goes at her pace. Beg You to Trust Me had a great pace to the plot line and was a lot more plot based than spicy which I enjoyed since the plot was so good and thick. This author has an amazing way with words and how she writes to pull you into this world. I could feel the emotions enjoyed feeling like I was in someone else’s mind for a bit. I did not want to put this book down.

*ARC provided for an honest review* Beg You To Trust Me is the second book in the Lindon U series and it’s my favourite from the two that are published. At the beginning I was a little annoyed with Skylar, even though I don’t have a good reason for it and she reminds me of me so much. Danny is the sweetest & most patient men ever. It was obvious he would do anything for Skylar and the way he helped her was amazing! And their friendship & connection that they build just keeps you on your toes and I couldn’t wait for their moments. The other thing I wasn’t a big fan of is the ending. I loved Skylar & Danny’s ending, but the one of two of the side characters was not my favourite. But I still can’t wait for more books in this series.
