This book I felt was mentally exhausting just because of how much baggage Ivy had and how unwilling she was for love. But it had a very cute ending!

This was interesting. I really enjoyed the book. The storyline was unique and that was my favorite part of it. I didn’t know much going in and I think I preferred it like that. Learning of Ivy’s past and where it has gotten her is so emotional and something that is heavy but realistic. Aiden’s mind is one I wanted to explore more when Ivy came back into his life. Especially with the importance of football in it too. It felt rushed to get to that conclusion I knew we would get to but the journey of it could have been interesting. A favorite part was then never saying they were together but it’s like they knew at the same time. The back and forth was one I haven’t really read before so I’m not used to it but I enjoyed it because it gave a refreshing new look at a book couple that I haven’t really read much of.

Muito, muito parecido com “Enemies” da Tijan mas a versão mais aborrecida e secante. A justificação da protagonista odiar o interesse amoroso é que ele com 16 anos se recusou a fugir com ela. Repito, com 16 ANOS ele não fugiu com ela, não deixou a família que tinha (que eram super chegados), a escola (onde ele era popular e se dedicava ao futebol) e tudo o que conhecia. Epa.. wtf? O problema é que a vida da protagonista não era assim tão má. A sério. Os pais discutiam e a mãe preferia o irmão. Yup. É isso. Achei mesmo o plot super oco e vazio e que a única intenção era ser dramático para caraças - mission accomplished. No entanto, a família do protagonista e o próprio protagonista salvam o livro o suficiente para merecer as três estrelas.
