This book stressed TF out from start to finish. I cried, I laughed & was in my feels the ENTIRE TIME. It started pretty slow & some things are repetitive about the unspoken feelings they (Hunter & Lennon) have about each other but this storyline is really good. I’ve read another series by this author & while I do see similarities this one is completely different. Just a warning though, all the books end with a cliff hanger.

This is a case of right book, right time. I was just really in the mood for some contemporary romance filled with drama and this book hit that spot.

Hunter was the one that saw Lennon first. But before he could shoot his shot she went home with his best friend and roommate, Brandon. Two years later and he has to see Lennon everyday now that she lives with him and Brandon. Hunter pushes her away so she never finds out his true feelings. But all that changes when their lives are turned upside down and Hunter is left having to comfort Lennon.

Hunter and Lennon were great together. I'm not usually drawn to stories about unrequited love but I thought this was done really well. I loved their annoying banter but when they really needed each other knew exactly what the other person needed.

I went into this book expecting drama and an angsty romance, which is what I got. What I was not expecting was how beautifully Kennedy Fox wrote about grief. It just felt like a very raw and real depiction of it.

The bond Lennon has with her sisters was also so sweet. They grew up in a fairly religious and strict household so they look out for each other now that they don't live with their parents.

I can see why a lot of people would find the drama too over the top. Looking back I do a bit, but it was exactly what I needed at the time.

Basically if you're looking for an angsty, drama-filled romance with pregnancy, look no further. I'd recommend picking up the next one immediately after as there is quite the cliffhanger.

Baby Mine is described as an angsty, slow-burn romance and that is definitely true. The book starts off with us reading about the first time Hunter meets Lennon, only to find her at his apartment with his roommate. I can't imagine how devestating that is thinking you found the love of your life only to see her end up with your best friend.

In all honesty, reading the first third of this book was really getting on my nerves. The only thing happening was Hunter and Lennon basically fighting and Hunter hiding his feelings. I think it was very big of him to deal with someone he thought he could love being with his best friend. I was really just waiting for something to happen, because it was becoming too much.

I really enjoyed the moments between Lennon and Brandon and I could feel the pain they were hit with when the cops showed up at the door. I was glad to see there was no sign of cheating, it just sucks when a wonderful character dies in a book (and no, I'm not spoiling you, this is already stated in the description). Reading that part of the book had me in tears (which isn't fun in the train, haha). 

I love the connection between Lennon and Hunter and seeing them be there for each other in that difficult time. That's when things get tricky though, because can they cross the line with their feelings when the grief of losing a loved one is still so fresh. The way the author wrote about them getting closer was amazing. That was my favorite part of the book.

As expected, this one ends with a major cliffhanger! Not one that I was expecting and I'm not sure how I feel about it, but I need the next book now!! These authors are amazing writers and I honestly couldn't tell the book was written by two authors!

I read this allllll in one day. And then that cliffhanger ending had to come in and RUIN ME. 

Love, love, LOVE the characters in this! Hunter is the biggest cinnamon roll on the planet and it is too damn adorable. Lennon is a bad-ass for sure. This whole friend group is just a dang fun time!

Weirdly, even having read the description, this book took some turns I wasn't exactly expecting. And I'm kinda okay with that.

I HAVE TO KNOW what happens next so expect to see me drooling over part two in the near future!

I read this book fairly quickly because I was enjoying it so much and just didn't want to put it down. This is one story where I loved the main male character and then hated him and then loved him again. Then I was just an emotional wreck and there is a cliffhanger.


I swear I have never been such an emotional wreck while reading a book before!! Kenndy Fox you ladies sure know how to write a book that makes a reader want the next book right away. I don't want to wait until the next book in this duets to be out. Give it to me now!!! 


I am giving this 5 out of 5 stars.
