the last few chapters were ridiculously good

This was an okay book. I had a bit of a hard time connecting to both characters to be honest and it went from there. I think there could’ve been real depth to Jesse, but it just wasn’t explored enough. With more of his POV, more of his struggles, he could’ve turned into a really heart wrenching character. Allie was tortured, but instead of seeing that, she just ran away from her problems and ignored them. I also think this book started too abruptly. I think it needed a longer run up, more background, instead of just dropping us straight in. Jesse and Allie’s first meeting perhaps? But we get none of that. Sure, there’s an attempt to create an emotional connection, but I just couldn’t feel it. I also felt like this book read more YA than NA. To me, I think it would’ve suited it well, but them being in college just didn’t hit it for me. Like I said, this was an okay book. It has promise but ultimately fell short, sorry.

Not my favorite in the series, Dare and Logan still have my heart, but I absolutely loved reading more in-depth about Jesse and Allie. I thought they were a good match, despite the fact that they butted heads for a little there in the beginning. This was an easy read and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Bad Influence - ⭐⭐⭐ I'm going to start this one by saying I LOVED the characters. Jess and Allie were great MCs and I'm so, so happy to have read their book - however, I found the story of "them" to be lacking. There were moments that it was so good, and moments where I was bored, which made me sad because I was expecting this amazing book because I LOVED Jess in Bad Intentions. It was a great read, quick and easy, but if you're looking for "more" you won't find it here. But, I do love Jess and Allie...those two together are 🥰😍.

2.5/5 nothing special, nothing terrible
