Beautiful Chaos
Reviews

*SPOILER ALERT!* What the heck!? I have to admit that the ending surprised me! What's with authors and people jumping/falling off of things? Not that I didn't like the book! I loved it! The Beautiful Creatures series is one of my favorite new series, along with Divergent and The Mortal Instruments. Out of the three that I've read, this was the second best. The first will "always" be my favorite (to quote Severus Snape), and I didn't like Beautiful Darkness as much as the rest of them. This book is more apocalyptic, more "life or death" than the other books. Like all of the books in the series, it's mysterious, and crisp and realistic. The characters seem real. I feel like I know Ethan and Liv and Lena and Link in real life. If you're already reading the series, DO NOT SKIP THIS BOOK!! If you're not, start at the beginning. You won't regret it! :)

Ethan and Lena are desperately trying to stay together, but the town of Gatlin is now under siege. Because of the things that they did when Lena was claimed and when Ethan's life was spared, the town is now suffering with locusts, extreme heat, storms, and earthquakes. A sacrifice will have to be made and Ethan is afraid it will be Lena - the two who would be one. Along with Link who is now called Linkubus and Ridley who is now mortal as well as the rest of their friends and family, Ethan and Lena will face their toughest test to date and one of them may not survive. Beautiful Chaos is another good entry in the Caster Chronicles series. Once again, the authors do a fantastic job creating atmosphere and angst. At this point in the series, very little character development is still needed, but we still get growth and change in several of the characters. Overall, Beautiful Chaos is a well written installment in the Caster Chronicles series.
