A triptych from the 20th century. Each of the three parts of This book stars a real character. He First is Paul Ehrenfest, Austrian physicist, friend of Einstein. Fearful for the fate of his son with syndrome Down when the Nazis came to power, he fled to Amsterdam and there he made a dramatic decision. The second protagonist is the Hungarian mathematician Johnny von Neumann. He emigrated to the United States in the years twenty and participated in the Manhattan Project. After He was in charge of creating a supercomputer - the MANIAC - capable of performing the necessary calculations to develop the hydrogen bomb. an artifact that this scientist dreamed of turning into a machine thinking. The third and final character is Lee Sedol, a Korean Go player who faced an artificial intelligence named AlphaGo.
